Renger of Soundbase/Soundlabel had a Sound Studio right where I had my own office at the time in the Puddingfabriek. He called out on Twitter for Kinetic Typography projects to apply his new X-treme Whooshes Volume 3 sounds to. So I took the bait. We’ve worked on several animations and films together, but not enough. Renger does mostly film music and larger projects these days, and of course I hope to make something bigger as well so we can work together again.

The Process

I had traffic accidents in mind creating this and spent some time tweaking the animation with the speed graph to get timing and speeds right. It was a good project for trying out some nice and grungy kinetic typography.

I’ve done more kinetic Typographies but there is not much demand for it, although they can be fun while informative. Like this Dutch preview clip for another project a while back.
