ENGLISH (Dutch below): Whenever I can, I try to do videos with my kids, Tom and Zoe. When time allows. You probably won’t be surprised when I say these are among the most fulfilling. They all signify an era and looking back on the earlier ones they get cuter with every passing year. Currently in puberty, they have better things to do, like making their own videos.

Actually these videos aren’t all animations; some are live action or live action with visual effects. For instance, there’s a live action one that’s just Tom having fun with the fart cushion he got for his 5th birthday. But there is also a kid flying off in his toy car, and a little girl shot into the sky with a rocket. Their role in the making varies; in some videos they only feature … as big bellies.

So here goes — mostly for ourselves — in reverse chronological order.

NL: Ik probeer vaak filmpjes te maken met mijn kinderen, Tom en Zoe. Als de tijd het toelaat. Het zal je niet verrassen dat ik hier over het algemeen de meeste voldoening uit haal. De filmpjes geven allemaal een tijdsbeeld en terugkijkend op de oudere worden ze met de dag schattiger. Nu ze in de puberteit zitten, hebben ze andere dingen te doen, zoals hun eigen filmpjes maken.

Eigenlijk zijn niet alle filmpjes animaties; sommige zijn live action of live action met visual effects. Er zit er bijvoorbeeld eentje tussen met Tom die ontzettend lol heeft met het scheetkussen dat hij kreeg voor zijn 5e verjaardag. Maar er vliegt ook een jochie weg in een speelgoedauto en een meisje wordt de lucht in geschoten met een vuurpijl. Hun rol in het maken van de filmpjes verschilt; in sommige zijn ze enkel te zien als … dikke buik.

Dus hier komt ‘ie — voornamelijk voor onszelf — in omgekeerd chronologische volgorde.
